Large folio album, half morocco binding, containing 98 albumen print photographs, subjects including street scenes and scenery in Melbourne (including Spring Street and Collins Street), Lilydale, Sydney, Parramatta River, Adelaide (street scenes, environs and gardens, many captioned in negative ‘Sweet Adelaide’ with catalogue numbers), Lake Wakatipu, Dunedin, Port Chalmers, Milford Sound, Dusky Sound, Timaru, Christ Church, Lyttelton, Lake Pearson, Porters Pass, Bealey River and environs, Rolleston Glacier, Otira, Waikato River, Tuhuatahi, Wairakei, ‘Maori Chief & Whare’, many with photographers’ signatures and captions in the negative, photographers including Burton Bros of Dunedin, H. King of Sydney, Foster & Martin of Melbourne, Wheeler & Son of Christchurch, most approx. 14 x 20cm, a few smaller (including 3 portraits of Maori men and women), approx. 18 larger (23 x 27cm), and 2 (including view of Hobart from Rosny) very large (27 x 33 cm).
