Description
An album providing a record of a voyage through the Mediterranean to Egypt, etc., undertaken in 1851, consisting of 21 pencil, pen and ink and watercolour drawings heightened with body colour, mostly on grey paper, 3 of which are doublepage. The subjects include: Going down the Channel, Gibraltar, Malta, Alexandria, the Nile, Cairo, Aden, etc. Later morocco backing, cloth boards, preserved in a solander box, 27 x 37 cms.
