in which the most ornamental foreign plants, cultivated in the open ground, the green-house, and the stove, are accurately represented in their natural colours ... 51 volumes (including Index vol. to vols. 1-20), with 2438 plates numbered 2432 (including numerous fldg.) of which 2435 are hand coloured and three are uncoloured, and with an engraved port. frontis. to the Index, contemporary half calf, marbled boards, except for vol. 50 which is cloth bound, bindings generally with some wear with a few covers detached, spine of vol. 49 largely missing, first three leaves of vol. 3 with some marginal water staining, occasional discolouration of the paper used for the plates, 8vo., London: for W.
