Footnote
This tapestry was on loan to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam in the 1930/40s. It was looted when the Germans occupied Holland during the Second World War and thought lost until it was discovered amongst other stolen treasures returned to The Hague after the war. It was then returned to its rightful owners, in whose family it has remained until the present day.
