the square dial with a silvered chapter, signed Jn. Crucefix, London, with Roman numeral and sword hilt half hour markers, the matted centre with subsidiary second dial and date aperture, within crowned coronet cherub spandrels, the bell striking five pillar movement with anchor escapement, the square hood with blind fret carved frieze and twin capped turned pilasters, above a feather door centred by a brass ringed lenticle, raised on a plinth base
