Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen was Queen Consort to William IV. In the mid 1830's the King and Queen ordered a large silver dinner service, supplied over a couple of years by the Royal goldsmiths Rundell, Bridge & Co. Pieces were engraved with the King's cipher, the Queen's cipher, or both. Most of this huge service was dispersed.
