Chao Shao-ang or Zhao Shao'ang was a Chinese artist of the Lingnan School of painting. He is noted for introducing Western art techniques such as shadow and perspective into Chinese painting. He became a disciple of Lingnan painting school master Gao Qifeng at the age of 16. In 1930, he won the gold medal award at the ‘Belgium International Exposition’. The same year, he founded the ‘Lingnan Art Academy’ in Guangzhou. In 1948, he settled in Hong Kong. In 1984, he was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in recognition of his contributions to the arts in Hong Kong.
趙少昂是嶺南畫派的中國藝術家。他以將西方藝術技法（如陰影與透視）引入中國畫而聞名。他16歲拜嶺南畫派大師高奇峰門下。1930年得到「比利時萬國博覽會」金牌獎殊榮，同年於廣州創立「嶺南藝苑」。1948年定居香港,。1984年，他獲頒大英帝國員佐勳章（MBE），以表揚他對香港藝術的貢獻。
