the cylindrical body divided into six lobes and supported on a stepped plinth, the exterior moulded with three sinuous dragons amongst blooming leafy lotus, the top pierced with four circular apertures, covered overall in a sea-green glaze

Zhukou Kiln is located in Zhukou Town, Qingyuan County, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the most important kiln sites of the Longquan wares. First fired in the Tang dynasty, it reached its peak in the mid-to-late Ming dynasty. Its products feature smooth and even glaze colours and are renowned for their elaborate and ornate decoration.
Compare to a very similar Ming dynasty celadon-glazed brush holder, the sides with three dragons but six apertures on the top, was in the Hong Rui Tang Collection and sold at Sotheby's London, 6 November 2013, lot 261.
竹口窯位於浙江慶元縣竹口鎮,是龍泉窯最重要的窯場之一。唐代創燒,明代中後期達到鼎盛。其產品釉色勻潤,以裝飾繁縟華麗著稱。對比一件非常相似的明代青釉筆筒,其側面飾有三條龍,頂部有六個鏤孔,曾為Hong Rui Tang 藏品,於2013年11月6日在倫敦蘇富比拍賣,拍品261。
