清末民初 象牙白地團壽花卉紋常服 及 男履一雙(共三件)
the robe of ivory colour, decorated with beribboned shou roundels amidst bamboo, lingzhi fungus, and other plants; with a pair of black shoes (3)

Provenance
Private Scottish Collection, Edinburgh; Inherited from the current owner's grandfather Rev. James Neave (b. 1869), who worked with the Tibetan Pioneer Mission in 1896, then with the China Inland Mission in Chengdu in 1927, where he was a pastor. He served on the North India and then the Chinese border. He later joined the American Bible Mission and was an expert on Tibetan literature.
愛丁堡私人收藏,蘇格蘭;由現任藏家之祖父詹姆斯・尼夫牧師(生於1869年)傳承而來。尼夫牧師於1896年任職「西藏先鋒宣教團」(Tibetan Pioneer Mission),其後於1927年在成都加入「中國內地會」(China Inland Mission)並擔任牧師。他先在北印度服事,後轉赴中國邊境地區。其後又加入「美國聖經宣教會」(American Bible Mission),並以精通藏文文獻、為藏文學專家而聞名。
