清 乾隆款 白玉填金《蜀道難》山水圖硯屏 帶木座
the jade panel of square form, finely carved to one side with a male figure leading an older figure with his boy attendant in a rugged shanshui landscape with craggy cliffs, crashing water below, gnarled pine trees overall, bridge afar, and houses on top, reverse meticulously carved and gilded with a poem by Li Bai ‘Shu Dao Nan’ (The Difficulty of the Shu Road), lower left with a four-character Qianlong seal mark, framed in hongmu pierced carved panel inset onto a stand

This finely carved jade table screen portrays the treacherous mountains separating Sichuan from the rest of China. The design is complemented by Li Bai's (701-762) poem, emphasising that the road to Shu is as hard as scaling the blue sky.

此件精細白玉硯屏描繪了巍峨險峻、峰巒疊嶂的群山。背面配以李白(701–762)詩句《蜀道難》,強調「蜀道之難,難於上青天!」
參一例乾隆時期青白玉御題桌屏,依銘文紀年為1775年,與本拍品相似,一面刻以山水景觀,背面刻詩,2008年12月4日售於香港邦瀚斯於拍賣,拍品205;見一件清乾隆御題白玉桌屏,一面為山水圖,背面刻有胡季堂四言詩,吳權博士舊藏,2022年11月1日售於倫敦蘇富比,拍品22;另可比較一件乾隆大型白玉雙面御題桌屏,2010年11月11日售於倫敦邦瀚斯,拍品56,可資比較。
