明至清 雪居(孫克弘)款 紫檀錯銀絲嵌百寶文人雅聚筆筒
of cylindrical form, depicting a scholar walking towards a rock table seated with three other scholars, reverse with a dense and dramatic shanshui landscape embellished with various carved stones, one side inlaid with silver wire with a two-character ‘Xue Ju’ mark within a square panel

Sun Kehong (孫克弘, 1533-1611), style name Yun Zhi (允執), pen name Xue Ju (雪居, Owner of Snow Dwelling), was a native of Songjiang (part of present-day Shanghai) and the son of the Minister of Rites, Sun Cheng’en (孫承恩, 1481-1561). During his lifetime, Sun Kehong was highly regarded as a painter, calligrapher, and book collector.
Compare to a hexagonal zitan ‘prunus’ cup, Ming dynasty, inlaid with Xue Ju mark, in the Palace Museum, Beijing, accession no. xin 新00093187. Also see a zitan tool vase, inlaid with Xue Ju mark, is in the Shanghai Museum. 孫克弘(1533–1611),字允執,號雪居,松江人(今上海一帶),為禮部尚書孫承恩(1481–1561)之子。孫克弘生前以畫家、書法家及藏書家著稱,備受推崇。
參一例北京故宮博物院藏,紫檀木福祿壽螭梅紋六方委角杯,落「雪居」款,館藏號「新00093187」。上海博物館亦藏有一件孫克弘銘嵌銀絲篆文紫檀。另參一例孫克弘製紫檀百寶嵌錯銀絲梅紋題詩長方盒,落款「克弘」,2020年3月13-27日展出於紐約藍理捷藝廊:「Elegantly Made: Art for the Chinese Literati」,圖版7,可資比較。
