the front and back main panels worked with flowering peonies with playful Buddhist lions, smaller pleated panels with butterflies and flowers, all on an ivory white ground, topped with a beige cotton waistband

The collection of the late David McGavin (born 1901). Coauthor of Bibles For China: An Account of Over 80 Years' Service. In Shanghai during the 1920s and later in Hong Kong in 1949 as a missionary. Thence by direct descent.
傳教士麥興仁(1901年生)舊藏,後家族遞藏;1920年代始於上海擔任傳教士,後於1949年遷至香港。《Bibles For China: An Account of Over 80 Years' Service》合著者。
