元至明 銅雙龍耳活環六方瓶
of faceted baluster form cast on high foot rising to waisted neck and galleried mouth, flanked with twin dragon terminus handles supporting loops, decorated with upright plantain leaves, tortoise shell diaper, key fret, and wavy patterns in panels on each side of the body

Provenance
Dr. Kenneth P. Lawley (1937-2023), Edinburgh. Bought from Nicholas S Pitcher, 18 November 2015, with an original receipt. Dr. Lawley's inventory number: M.51.
Dr Lawley was a chemical physicist in The School of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh, he collected Asian Art all his life and his large collection was sold at this saleroom on 3 November 2023, lot 1-95.
