Provenance
Private Scottish collection, Glasgow; Inherited from current owner's father, who worked for Harrisons & Crosfield as a plantation manager in Malaysia during the 1960's-1970s. Acquired then, possibly from Malaka.
Footnote
You Bochun (1972-1922), also known as You Zhangzi, was born in Fujian. He was a famous porcelain sculpture artist in Jingdezhen during the Republic of China, specializing in large-scale porcelain sculptures.
