Footnote
Note: Ge-type crackle-glazed with a brownish tint is called the 'huang ge-glaze', meaning the yellow ge-glaze. It is done by applying an extra layer of beige glaze on top of a white ge-glaze. Compare to a yellow ge-glazed incense burner, dated to the early Qing dynasty, flanked with elephant ears, sold at Sungari Beijing, 18 June 2017, lot 2154; Also compare to a slightly larger example, with similar angular handles and denser crackles, in the collection of the Palace Museum, Beijing.
