Contents of a Scottish Country House
The following 55 lots were collected by a Scottish businessman whilst working in Hong Kong in the 1950s and 60s. A number of these pieces may have been gifts from prominent families or heads of business. The first part of the collection was sold at Lyon & Turnbull's Fine Asian Works of Art sale in London in November 2017, featuring a large reverse glass painting of a young woman dressed as a shepherdess as one of the highlights.
