Provenance: formerly the property of His Majesty George III and given by him to the Very Rev. the Dean of Bristol, Dr Layard on his appointment as Bishop of Worcester in 1803. It has since past by descent to the present owner.
Note: Dr Layard was private Chaplain to George III and Queen Charlotte.
