the 30 hour movement with anchor escapement striking the hours on a bell, the Greek key cornice above a plain frieze and silvered dial with foliate engraved centre and seconds dial below maker's signature of John Farnsworth, Mansfield, the shaped trunk door above plain apron and plinth base, a note attached inside the trunk door stating that 'This clock was made in the year 1791 by John Farnsworth of Mansfield'
