with gold fringes and coloured and gold embroidery of the 'VRI ' crowned monogram in the centre and the four national emblems in the corners, rose, thistle, shamrock and leek, mounted on modern card and covered in plastic sheet

Provenance by family repute:
This was the cushion that the Queen knelt on in St Georges Chapel on 20th June 1897 on the occassion of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. This cushion was given to Sir James Reid who was Queen Victoria's personal physicain from 1881-1901, by the Queen.
