Description
the grip covered in black horse hair, with wide brass ferules, long round section quillions with two flared knops at the ends, the knuckle guard with turned knop midway, with cup shaped hand guard, the slender double edged blade with short central fuller stamped 'SOLINGEN', with plain bun shaped pommel, 102cm blade; an early 19th century French heavy cavalry sword pattern 1816, the cast brass three bar hilt the wooden grip covered in brown leather bound with a double twist of brass wire, the single edge blade with two fullers running the length of the blade, the back edge dated 1815, 94cm blade; and a 19th century Sudanese cross hilted kaskara, the grip bound with copper wire, simple cross hilted quillions of diamond section, the double edge spear point blade with central fuller running the entire length of the blade, 63cm blade (3)
