the cartouche shaped case with putto surmount and glazed door enclosing a giltmetal floral chased dial with raised enamel Roman chapters, the verge escapement striking the hours and half hours on a nest of three graduated bells, with pull-cord repeat, the backplate engraved with maker's signature, on foliate cast feet, the whole decorated with arabesques and acanthus scroll mounts
