A Victorian oak 'marriage' buffet carved in the 16th century manner

Description
the ledge back decorated with an armorial flanked by chained griffins with the motto: "Virtve Vavngeth" above a procession of figures and ladies in waiting within a panelled room setting and further banner inscribed "RICHARDVS-VERNEY-MARGARETA " and dated 1598, the top again carved with portraits of "Sir Richard Verney Knt" and "Margaret Crevill" over open shelves and stylised foliage, the carved aprons on carved block and turned supports with base cupboard depicting "William Ye Conqueror" between term figures, with further mottoes: "Vix It Nos Travoco" and "Feare God and Honor Ye Qvene" and various armorial devices incorporating (inter alia) the engrailed cross.
