ROLLS ROYCE SILVER WRAITH, Chassis No CLW 17 (1953) NOTE 4.5Litre Registration OYM 362

Auction: 22 July 2006 from 12:00 BST
Description
The six-cylinder 4256cc Wraith was introduced in 1946 and some 1883 were produced, the last in 1958.OYM 362 is a Mulliner-bodied saloon (No5676) with roll-down glass snob-screen between driving and passenger compartments. The body is finished in silver and grey green. Externally resprayed to a high standard the paint has mellowed to give a convincingly original sheen and has no noticeable defects. The interior trim is grey fabric, possibly original, and in good unworn order. Interior woodwork is excellent, save for minor water staining round the fixing screws. The engine compartment seems to be in original finish and is clean with components shewing only minor external wear. The car seems complete in terms of details such as cigar lighter, controls &c and, of course, Spirit of Ecstacy mascot. It also sports period AA&RAC badges. Underneath, the chassis is very sound but there is some rusting to the sill panels and jack points, which would benefit from attention. The car comes with current registration document, but was last taxed in 1993-4 and has not been run since 1999.
