Julian Bird was an avid collector of Egyptian Antiquities. His collection was formed from the 1970s onwards, mainly from the UK market. Mr. Bird's notes record that this piece was purchased from a Provincial English auction house in 2013. Prior to that the piece is noted as being in another English private collection, formed in London from the 1950s - 1960s or earlier.
