Note:These were illustrations to George Mackay Brown's book of the same title written in 1995. The book was written in response to a commission from Giles Gordon on behalf of Clarion Publishing, a small enterprise dedicated to producing finely designed books of new poetry and short stories accompanied by commissioned illustrations in limited editions at prices within the range of most people's pockets.
