Note: This chimney pot was designed by the eminent Glasgow architect Alexander 'Greek' Thomson (1817-1875) for Millbrae Crescent, Glasgow. Millbrae Crescent consists of an elegant row of two-storey terraced houses believed to have been designed by Thomson and Robert Turnbull and was completed in 1877. 'Greek' Thomson was so named because of his decision, in the mid-1850s, to adopt the Greek idiom as his only language of expression.
