Note: The Glasgow firm Templeton's, founded in 1839, produced a series of portières, complex jacquard woven hangings, from the 1860s. The firm used some of the leading designers of the day including Voysey, Crane and Day. Many of these hangings were attributed to the Scottish designer Bruce Talbert, who designed for the firm.
