Note: A.C.C. Jahn was born at Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire in 1865. He was the son of Ludwig Louis Hartmann Adalbert Jahn, a German china painter, designer and art director. Albert was the brother of Francis H. Aloysius, a sculptor and teacher. Albert studied at Hanley School of Art and the National Art Training Schools (Royal College of Art) where he was awarded a travelling scholarship. Between c.1890-1905 Jahn was headmaster of Wolverhampton Municipal School of Art and Crafts. During this time he was also a curator at Wolverhampton Art Gallery. He produced a number of pieces of art jewellery and enamel work and sold many of his pieces of jewellery to the Victoria and Albert Museum. In 1905 he was appointed Headmaster of Sheffield School of Art. He remained there until his retirement in 1925.
