Located in Cameron Square, right in the heart of Fort William, the West Highland Museum has long stood as a cultural anchor in the Scottish Highlands.
Originally founded in 1922 by Victor Hodgson, it occupies a historic, B-listed 19th-century building (once the British Linen Bank) and over the decades has expanded into adjoining premises to accommodate its expanding collections.
Though outwardly modest, the museum’s interior reveals itself through eight rooms spread across three floors, telling the layered stories of the West Highlands.
