Charlotte is the Sales Coordinator for the Fine Art Department at Lyon & Turnbull and is happy to assist with any enquiries relating to the department’s sales and collections.
She joined Lyon & Turnbull in 2022 following the completion of her undergraduate degree in Classical Civilisation at Durham University, before going on to earn a Master’s degree from the Warburg Institute in Art History, Curatorship and Renaissance Culture. Her academic background underpins a particular interest in the reception and reinterpretation of Classical figures within Renaissance painting and sculpture, and how classical themes continue to influence later artistic traditions.
Charlotte’s role combines academic insight with the practicalities of the auction process, supporting both clients and specialists across a wide range of Fine Art material. One of her favourite works recently sold at Lyon & Turnbull is Nymphs Finding Narcissus by Dame Ethel Walker, a painting she particularly admires for its subject matter and sensitive handling of classical themes.
