Join Head of Sale, John Mackie as he introduces us to three innovative ceramics by Christopher Dresser for Linthorpe Art Pottery included in our forthcoming auction - highlighting key features & discussing the creation of the Pottery.

Operating between 1878 and 1890 - Linthorpe Art Pottery in Middlesbrough was started by Dresser and businessman & landowner, John Harrison. Acting as Art Superintendent between 1879 and 1882, Dresser designed over 1,000 pots for the Pottery. The Pottery achieved national and international recognition starting in 1882 when it was exhibited at the Society of Arts Exhibition of Modern English Pottery.
