A Personal Note from our Directors

It is with much sadness that we record the death of our colleague and chairman Sir Angus Grossart, who passed peacefully with his family by his side on Friday 13th May.

In 1999 he shared our vision to create an international auction house based in Scotland and became founding chairman and one of the major shareholders. We have been fortunate to have his guidance which, over the last 23 years, has helped us grow to become one of the leading auction houses in the UK.

Sir Angus chaired our board meetings with enthusiasm and some of his characteristic humour too. His significant contribution to business and the arts has been widely acknowledged. We would like to pay special tribute to his loyalty and dedication to Lyon & Turnbull over many years – he will be much missed.
