The Classic Bridges model which sold in our July auction was a fine example from the Girard-Perregaux Bridges Collection. Our Summer 2021 auction proved extremely popular with both online and phone bidders. Offered to benefit the AMAR Foundation, this excellent example went on to achieve a hammer price of £15,000 for the charity.
An AMAR spokesperson has said the £15,000 rasied ‘will be put to good use and will end up funding around 8000 medical consultations in Iraq.’
The AMAR Foundation is an award-winning charity that builds and improves the lives and livelihoods of some of the world’s most disadvantaged communities.
"We are delighted to have been able to help realise this result for the AMAR Foundation. This proved to be one of the leading lots in what proved to be a very exciting sale," says Head of Watches Department, Sarah Fergusson."Competition was very strong throughout the sale, especially from online bidders with interest from the USA, UK and Europe."
