The Property of a Private Collector (lots 76-80) includes interesting design-led pieces in our November Select Jewellery & Wacthes auction in London, including a contemporary multi-gem set bracelet (lot 76) with the central motif made as an arrow centred with a starburst of gold set diamonds and a large rectangular cut watermelon tourmaline, either end is set with lapis lazuli as are the panels flank the arrow.
Gem set designs dominate the statement pieces offered from the collection, including a 1960s 18ct gold and agate set braclet and a contemporary jasper set cocktail ring modelled as an octopus with sapphire set eyes.
The collection also features bold1960s/70s pieces, including a 1960s French diamon set cocktail ring of dished design with applied pave set colourless diamond detail and collet set with four yellow, orange and yellow/green diamonds; and a 1970s 18ct gold anchor link braclet.
