Professor Richard Guyatt was a British designer and academic who was an influential figure in the world of graphic design. He was the youngest ever professor at the Royal College of Art on appointment in 1948, and was Rector of the Royal College of Art from 1978–1981.
Ralph Allen of Bath is well-known for his elegant Prior Park house and gardens and for the magnificent gothic sham castle, one of Britain’s finest follies, which he had erected on the skyline above the city in 1762. Guyatt’s poster perfectly captivates the view of Sham Castle standing on a high ridge overlooking the Georgian city of Bath.
