Lucas, Walter de la Mare copying out his poem "The Linnet", Donald MacAlister of Tarbert, John Ferguson, Jan Hay, Laurence Binyon copying out "For the Fallen", Sir John Adcock with his poem "Distance", A.A. Milne with an excerpt from "When We Were Very Young", Warwick Deeping, John Buchan writing about peace, Hugh Chesterman with "Orpheus, the Sweet Singer", John Galsworthy with "The Downs", Ernest Raymond, John Joy Bell with "Belief" and 4 others, several of the excerpts and poems seem to relate to the theme of war
