the plain lock with projecting seer, shaped cock attached from inside the lock, the pommel of turned ivory engraved with scrolls and panels (missing its pommel cap), the stock profusely inlaid with mother-of-pearl and bone animals of the chase, including deer and hare, with tendrils decorating the underside of the stock, on a russet background the leaf shaped axe blade chamfered on one side and with a sharp point, etched with a ho ho bird on one side and a parrot on the reverse
