Footnote
Note: These panels take their inspiration from the works of prolific Art Nouveau illustrator Alphonse Mucha. Mucha's illustration 'Poppies' from 1902 demonstrates the similarities of a study of the female form in a decorative floral design. The strong black outline of the figures is typical of the Art Nouveau movement as artists were taking inspiration from Japanese woodblock prints and reducing images to their essential qualities.
