the brass action engraved with pineapples, the steel lock with faceted pan and cover with an elegant shaped cock, fitted with spring-loaded bayonet operated when the trigger is pulled, the gilt-metal butt is cast as an eastern dagger hilt with cast foliate decoration, inset semi precious stones one on the pommel, two at the hilt, with small bore polished two stage barrel struck at the breech with a proof mark
