carved in high relief with twin armorials, Constable with the motto POST TOT NAUFRAGIA PORTUM beneath a helmet and three-masted ship, on a double cartouche frame carved with scrolling foliage and centred by a lion's mask, signed 'E. Williams SC. / LONDON / 1890.'

Note: The Strickland, later Cholmley and later Strickland-Constable Baronetcy, of Boynton was created in 1641 for the politician William Strickland. The date inscribed on this coat-of-arms panel dates it to the 8th baronet, Sir Charles William Strickland.
