The earliest Admiralty survey of Hong Kong harbour was carried out in 1841. Lieutenant Heath (later Vice Admiral Heath) was commissioned to draw this panorama which he did on board HMS Iris whilst it was anchored in the middle of the harbour. These prints provide one of the earliest delineations of Hong Kong town and harbour.
