This parure comes from the Noble family of Ardkinglas, Argyll. A small collection of important Scottish silver was sold by Lyon & Turnbull in August 2013 from the same family, this piece was given as a wedding gift by John Noble, to his daughter on the occasion of her wedding in 1957. Her brother, also John Noble, was the founder of Loch Fyne Oysters.This piece follows in the tradition of the family being strong collectors of antique silver and applied arts of high quality craftsmanship and unique aesthetic appeal.
