Decorative Arts & Design

Lyon & Turnbull have one of the largest Decorative Arts and Design departments outside London. The department sells works of art, ceramics, glass, furniture and design from 1860 to the present day.

Currently there are two sales of design per year in April and November encompassing all the major design movements from the English Aesthetic and Arts & Crafts movements of the late 19th century, through Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Modernism in the early 20th century, to more contemporary design.

In addition to these sales we also hold an annual sale of Scottish Design, which includes works by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and The Glasgow School, alongside another devoted to Wemyss Ware pottery in August.
